FarSight Foundation Activities
After participating in the first Blind Ambassadors activities in Massachusetts, Scout Jack Haynie designed and implemented this Blind Adaptive Trail, complete with beautiful Braille signs. Impressive! Equally impressive was this young man's attitude--he was doing something that he knew would provide enjoyment for his new blind friends from The Perkins School for the Blind (Boston). He saw a need and filled it; now this Blind adaptive trail is available for the enjoyment of blind and sighted people as well. Each sign has both Braille and printed directions; everything has been carefully thought out and executed, with information about terrain, rocks, boulders, landmarks, and distance.
